Accounting and Finance (B.S.)
The B.S. in Accounting and Finance degree at Bethel University is designed to help prepare students to seek careers in the field of Accounting. Bethel's degree meets the required credit hours (150 credits) for taking the Certified Public Accountant exam while gaining content knowledge to prepare for the exam and obtaining accounting and business-related credits typically required to become eligible for CPA licensure in must jurisdictions. Educational requirements for CPA licensure vary by state and each student’s situation will be different depending on their educational history.
Per the U.S. Department of Education Regulation 34 CFR 668.43 (a) (5) (v), we have determined that our curriculum meets educational requirements for becoming credentialed as a Certified Public Accountant in Minnesota. Please refer to the full list of determinations regarding all fifty states as well as the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands for anyone wishing to become a U.S. Certified Public Accountant.
Questions about licensure?
Be sure to check with the appropriate licensing agency in your state to verify requirements prior to beginning any course of study. Check requirements regularly as they may change. Additional information about CPA certification may also be found through organizations such as the National Association of State Boards of Accounting or the American Institute of CPAs.
