Ready to join the next class at Bethel?
Applying to Bethel just takes a few easy steps, and there’s no application fee. With our rolling admissions, we review applications when they come in and let you know as soon as we’ve made a decision.
How to Apply
Complete your online application.
To help you prepare, here’s the essay prompt you’ll see in the application:
- In 150-1,000 words each, describe:
- your relationship with Jesus Christ
- why you want to attend Bethel University
Also included in the online application is your affirmation to the Covenant for Life Together.
Submit your high school transcript.
We will accept unofficial transcripts for your application. Please download a copy of your unofficial transcript from your high school's system and send a copy of it to undergrad-admissions@bethel.edu or your admissions counselor.
Send your standardized test score.
We accept SAT or ACT, and CLT. If you would like to apply without submitting standardized test results, please indicate so on your application. Visit this Frequently Asked Questions page for more information about Bethel’s Test Optional admission.
Admissions Standards
- Graduation from an accredited secondary school or equivalent
- GPA of 3.0 (unweighted)
- Test scores of 21 composite on the ACT or 920 on the SAT
Completed applications will be reviewed and considered on an individual basis. References and additional information may be requested in certain cases.
If there is reason to doubt the validity of the high school diploma or recognized equivalent, Bethel University will follow our procedures to verify completion of high school, recognized equivalent of a high school diploma or college coursework.

With our rolling admissions, we review your application when it's complete and let you know as soon as we've made a decision. We continue to admit students as our space allows.
Earned college credit in high school?
If you've earned college credit in high school, you already have a head start on your Bethel degree. We accept college credit from these sources:
AP credits - Advanced Placement scores of 3 or higher
PSEO/CIS credits - A letter grade of C or higher at another institution through Postsecondary Enrollment Options, College in the Schools, or other programs
IB credits - International Baccalaureate minimum scores of 50 or higher
